Hi Everyone,

Hope you have all had a good month and are looking forward to the next. We’ve got loads of exciting events coming up over the next few months so read on for some inspiration to get out and about and have some fun with Spice!

June was, as always, a very busy month with lots of us trying new activities, meeting new friends and generally enjoying ourselves.  We had a glamorous day at Epsom Races with a few winning flutters and of course a few losing. We dined at Claridges and even had a sneaky peak in Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen! Fortunately he wasn’t there to shout at us....The West End show Hairspray was a huge hit with over 40 Spice members enjoying the 60’s fun. We even explored the world famous Silver Vaults in London, an intriguing place with an amazing collection of antique silver. One of the highlights of the month has to be gliding. Why not treat yourself this month to an out of this world experience.

The next Dragon Boat Racing event is on Sunday 20th July and is the National event where teams from all the Spice Groups all over the country take part.  If you’ve never been dragon boating before – now’s your chance.  No experience is necessary, lots of time to practice before the racing starts and this is Spice, so it’s all just for fun!

We’ve added to our overseas weekend trips with weekends away to Florence in November and Rome next March. If either of these take your fancy, you will need to book your place by the end of July for Florence and the end of August for Rome. If you fancy combining your weekend away with photography then why not book onto our Prague Photography Break or Venice Photography Break. Aimed at all standards of photographers, these long weekends are sure to be informative, friendly and fun.

If like many of us the credit crunch has taken its toll, then why not take advantage of our events for under £10. These include guided walks, mountain biking and a barn dance to name a few. See our Top Tens For July section in this newsletter for an idea on the sort of thing we offer.

During the coming months you could join us on one of the many events taking place such as the sizzling Summer BBQ at Mbibe’s, a Salsa one day course, Sunday lunch and Jazz at Putney or one of our many meals or theatre trips.  How about having a go at tennis, volleyball, land yachting, kayaking, zorbing or one of our exciting flying events on offer.  We also have tours organised for St Paul’s Cathedral, the V&A Museum and Wembley Stadium.

Don’t forget to celebrate summer with our Summer Party on 16th August. This event is ideal for any members of Spice, old and new, as the Spice team will be there to welcome you on arrival.
