The wee bit

Hi Everyone

2012 promises to be another special year for Spice London with lots of great events and weekends planned.  We always have lots of new members joining us at the start of the year so I would like to welcome you aboard.  Take a deep breath and book yourself on that first event and get yourself ready for a year packed with Spice!  Do get in touch if you need any help with your membership or to get started with Spice as we are always happy to help. 

 We have some great events lined up to kick start us into the New Year.  If your New Year’s Resolution is to get out and meet new friends, we have lots of social events with a variety of dining out options to Indian, Spanish, Greek, Brazilian to name a few!  Why not join us to celebrate Chinese New Year or treat yourself to afternoon tea at the Savoy.   If you’re aiming to get fit, there are lots of sporty events we run regularly throughout the month and they are always looking for a few new players!   You could also try horse riding, cycling, ice curling or ski and snowboarding lessons on real snow or join in the fun on a get ski fit class.   There is a great variety of workshops for you to try such as the wonderful weight loss class, Self Hypnosis, Introduction to Acting, Colour Me Beautiful and Style, Flirting for Fun, Burlesque or Tango!   If you like food, then try making your own Dim Sum, Sushi, Chocolates or Curry or test your detective skills on our Awakening the Dead and Crime Scene Murder investigations.

For the great outdoors you can Slip Slide your way on a Skid Pan, Blast down the Thames on a Rib or try 4x4 Off Roading, Go Karting, Motorcycling, Clay Pigeon shooting or why not drive a Steam Train!   We have pulled out all the stops with our choice of theatre trips and we have secured amazing discounted tickets for you.  There is Don Giovanni Opera at the Royal Opera House, Chicago, Fascinating Aida, Ghost, Ladykillers and Billy Elliot.    Or why not get back to nature with our many day walks around the counties and there is a fantastic choice for weekends away too.

Don’t miss our Black Tie/Posh Frocks Party/Luxury Weekend which we always hold in the New Year.  This year it’s on Saturday 28th January - it’s always a huge night out and this year it’s at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington.  If you are looking to stay for the Weekend or overnight after the party please book now as we are under pressure to hand back rooms.  Don’t worry if you’ve never been to a Spice party before as the Spice team will be on hand to help with the introductions.

Ski Trips

January sees our Ski trip to Zermatt in Switerland depart and I can’t wait to join everyone on the slopes.  Our 2^nd ski trip to Val d’Isere has now sold 30 places but we can fit in a few more if anyone else wants to join us!  You need to book real soon!

Spice Bristol & Cardiff

I think there is a rumour flying around that I have bought the Spice Bristol & Cardiff franchise – well by the time you read this, the legal stuff should have gone through so it will be true!  Just to confirm though that I am not selling my London club, I am not moving to Bristol, I am just stepping in to help one of the smaller groups become bigger & better.

 That just leaves me to wish you the very best for 2012.  Why not make 2012 the year you do those “things” you always wanted to do!
