"Good bar with happy hour. Buffet selection very good. Quite cramped space that was reserved for us. Juliet did a great job of hosting."

"Gem bar was in a great location - very central and easy to find. We had a small area to ourselves with some seating which was perfect for the numbers. The food was very good - lots of it and a nice selection - which was better than previous U40 socials. Also it was distributed around the area so there was no need to rush to get some as can sometimes happen. There was also an area downstairs for dancing which was good for those wanting to stay a bit later."

"The event was good. A chance to meet some new people in our own private area of the bar. I have noticed that the new equivalents to this event have been put on a Friday / Saturday night. This will be good as we can perhaps relax a little more without having work the next day! "

"I enjoyed the event. My 1st impression of the bar was noisy, you could hardly hear the person you were talking to when queueing at the bar and certainly couldn't talk in a group. However the corner where Spice were was much better and quieter. The food was good, plenty of it. "
