Drink With A View - St Georges Hotel - January 2012

As always, Spice organised the event very well. Karen, the co-ordinator, introduced everyone to each other, made sure the food arrived on time and went to a lot of trouble to make sure the evening went smoothly and that everyone was relaxed and enjoyed themselves. The food was superb and there was plenty of it. The venue was fantastic too: the views were stunning and the area reserved for Spice was very comfortable, spacious and luxurious. For me, the evening was a hit and I would definitely recommend the event to other Spice members.

It was my first event with Spice and the host was brilliant. The venue was quite impressive, though I felt like it was difficult to socialise, being 'sit down' bar. Perhaps, a dinner shuffle or under 40's social event maybe a better socialising event. It was a great advert for Spice as everyone I spoke with said The other members were very friendly and I had a good night. I am looking forward to other events.

Nice venue, good range of food and plenty of it, good value event, nice people, would book this again and encourage others.

I liked the venue and the Spice Host, Karen, was excellent and worked very hard. The food was good and there was plenty of it. The only difficulty I had was that people are sticking together in groups. That can be hard for people who have just joined and attend functions on their own. However, I was fortunate that I sat next to some really nice people so was able to have a good chat. I assume I might attend up sitting in groups as I get to know more people but I hope not.

Great venue, the food was quite good, drinks were reasonably priced (which surprised me) and a good mix of people. There wasn't much mingling going on but that didn't spoil my evening and would definitely go to something similar again.
