Office Hours

The Spice Office is open between the hours of 10.00a.m. - 5.00p.m. Monday to Friday. Quite often there is someone here after hours and there is also a 24 hour answer phone. In the event of an emergency try the mobile 07702 046730 as the mobile is checked regularly out of hours for messages.

How to Join Spice

Simply complete and return the membership form enclosed in your enquiry pack along with your cheque or credit card details. Alternatively you can complete the direct debit mandate and send it in to us or you can also telephone the Spice office and join over the phone with your credit card. You may also join on-line via the web on www.spicelondon.co.uk.

Booking Events

A secure online booking service is available at www.spicelondon.co.uk. Alternatively, you can complete and return the booking form along with your cheque or credit card details. We also accept telephone bookings when paying with a credit card or you can fax it to us on 020 8669 8896.

If you are using a credit note, please remember to quote the number when booking online. You cannot book online if you are using a money off voucher, please ring the office to book the event.

Please note: Bookings are only secure when payment has been received. You may lose your slot if another member wishes to book whilst your “cheque is in the post”.

Never simply “turn up” at a Spice event as this is unfair to those who have taken the time to book and it may mean a wasted journey if we cannot accommodate you.

Late Bookings

We do sometimes have slots available at the last minute due to cancellations. Please call the office for details of availability and be ready to pay by credit card to secure your place. Many events do sell out so the best advice is to book early to avoid disappointment.

Confirmation of Bookings

We do not normally confirm your bookings. We will contact you if there is a problem with your form or if the event is full or has been cancelled. If you do require confirmation, please contact the office or enclose a self addressed envelope with your booking form. Where further information is required i.e. directions this will be sent out approximately 7 days prior. Full joining instructions are sent out for all weekend events.

If you can’t make it to an event

Please ring the Spice Office 01784 497070 if you realise that you cannot make an event. This is important for several reasons. Firstly, other members may be left waiting for you to arrive and this is obviously unfair. Secondly, ‘team’ type events such as sports evenings may depend on your turning up for even team numbers. Finally if you let us know you cannot attend we may be able to issue a refund depending on the type of event. See the Spice Cancellation Policy for full details.

Guests are welcome on all Spice events. We usually ask guests to pay a guest fee which is normally 10% of the cost of the event. For the more costly events (i.e. over £100) it is normally £10 per person extra. We ask that guests only attend 2 events, after which time we expect them to become members. - in the long run this can work out cheaper as they do not have to pay guest premiums!

Transport Share

We are always happy to do our best to link up members for travel share. Please remember to indicate on your form should you require a lift or be willing to offer or share transport. For weekend events we will issue a transport share list so that you can contact other members attending the event. For the one day events please ring the office about 7 days prior and we will be able to give you telephone numbers of possible links.
